I've been an integral part of Austin's beauty scene since 1985, making my mark in some of the city's most renowned salons, including my co-founded venture, Estilo Valdez Salon. Throughout my illustrious career, my expertise in working with curly hair earned me prestigious awards. After embarking on a two-year overseas sabbatical, I returned to the fold as a Partner at Salon Vela in August 2013. Today, I spearhead salon training, relishing in the opportunity to impart my wealth of skills and knowledge to the emerging generation of stylists joining the Salon Vela team.
